Training Rescheduled

Because of the winter wonderland that has hit Nashville we are rescheduling our training to Saturday, February 27th from 10:00-3:30 pm. We will still gather at Hobson UMC. Sorry for the inconvenience, but we look forward to seeing you all on the 27th!

Please join the Nashville Area Reconciling Ministries (NARM) as we work for full inclusion of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons in our United Methodist Church. We will gather at Hobson UMC (1107 Chapel Ave, Nashville) on Saturday, February 27th for fellowship, worship and to gain important skills that we can use to learn how to best talk to our friends and allies about our love for ALL of God’s children. We’ll also create an action plan for the work we want to do in TN. Please RSVP to nashvillereconcilingministries(at)gmail.com if you can, but even if you don’t RSVP, please feel free to just show up!

Many thanks to the over 80 people who came to Belmont UMC to meet Anne Brown and watch the film Incompatible with Christian Teaching. We had a great night and shared in wonderful conversation after the film – focusing on the importance of sharing our personal narratives to motivate others to action.

December 6th Advent Service at Edgehill UMC

We had a wonderful gathering last night at the First NARM Advent Service. Sixty of us gathered in the evening at Edgehill UMC where we anticipated the coming of Christ and meditated on hope for this season. We named a hope that our church may love all people, hope for peace, for reconciliation, for the removal of pain from our friend’s lives. A few pictures from our prayers stations during the service are included – our prayer altar, our tree of hope, the lights that remind us of God’s light and our planted seeds of promise.
